Common FAQ’s
Respite care is a temporary relief service for primary caregivers, providing them with some rest and relaxation from their caregiving duties. This care can be provided at your home, within one of our accommodation options or through community-based programmes.
Respite allows caregivers to rest, recharge, and attend to personal needs while ensuring their clients continue to receive high-quality care.
It all comes down to your needs. Respite care can be as short as a few hours to provide immediate relief or extend to several days or weeks, depending on your and your caregiver’s needs. The duration is flexible and can be tailored to suit individual circumstances.
During respite care, our participants can engage in a variety of activities, such as trips to the park, movie outings, mini golf, dining at restaurants, attending sporting events like NRL games, and participating in social gatherings. Additionally, physical therapy and wellness programmes are also available to support overall health and well-being.
When choosing a respite care provider, consider factors such as the provider’s reputation, the quality of care offered, the range of activities available, the qualifications and experience of staff, and the level of personalised care provided. If possible, visit the facility and speak with staff and other families to ensure it meets your needs and expectations.
